MagicaVoxel

I've noticed that over these past years I have found I love the 8-bit and 16-bit pixel style and art a lot! Having grown up with Nintendo and Genesis consoles I'll always have a place in my heart for this style. A style that is both simplistic and telling with an almost limited pallet. Either way my internet journey of finding more and more inspiration lead me on the the path of finding this software called MagicaVoxel. I started out coming across this program in searches for old pixel art for inspiration. Started on Twitter and then slowly came to Instagram for my fuel for inspiration. I kept seeing the pictures tag #MagicaVoxel . So as curiosity usually does, I did a search on it. I ended up on this site https://ephtracy.github.io/ . I know the name is long and not an easy one to type in. But trust me the program is worth it!

I did an overview on YouTube you can see here about this Program.

My overview in the video I cover a few of the basic tools I found from just the limited time of using it. And I am having so much fun playing around with it. If you ever played Minecraft you will see that it's very similar to that feeling. But you also have that feeling of the old school graphics with a modern twist. The program is very easy to just pick up and start creating if you are willing to spend a few minutes learning the tools. I felt I just had to spread the word of this very fun program. So give it a try and see what you come up with! It's a program that is very easy for anyone interested in 3d and getting their feet wet.
