Photos of Texas Wild Flowers in the yard.

With spring every year I usually like to go outside and just take photos of the Texas wild flowers around my lawn. Living outside of town gives me an opportunity to get some very interesting shots! Since it has rained almost every weekend it helped these little flowers to pop up all over the yard. Now I do have a DSLR camera I enjoy using, but for this round I went with my Note 8. The Note 8 smartphone has the ability to shoot in a raw mode. Plus I really enjoy using my smartphone for taking pictures given how small and light it is. I use to use those lens phone attachments you see like at Wal-Mart, but those no longer work with my phone. The attachments helped give that macro look to my shots even more. The lens would help me zoom in even closer seeing even more details.

If you look at most of the pictures I've taken of the flowers, you'll think these flowers are pretty big. But they are actually smaller than a penny (see fig.1). There are so many little tiny flowers all around and we just don't notice them since they are so small. You will be surprised to see what is below your feet if you just look down. It's like a tiny world growing all around you.

 And for some flowers they look just like they are from an alien planet (see fig.2). But the planet is the one you live on! Just look at all those little details from a tiny plant that just grows out in the fields. The different shots you will capture are unlimited. But you gotta get out there because spring only last so long with these beautiful flowers. They let me know that it's time to start the garden and get some flowers of my own growing too! 

So get outside and take a camera with you and start shooting pictures of those wild flowers. These are just the flowers that live in my area that I wanted to share. I really just love how technology has made it so that our phones are almost just so good now that taking pictures is really fun! And if your new to taking photos, the only advice I have is to just start! 

So after you have your photos taken it's always fun to give a few tweeks to your photos too. For most of my shots I use Snapseed to edit them. A really fun and free app that allows you to adjust your images to give them that little bit of a pop. I am hoping to do a short tutorial of what I like to do on my pictures to make them pop.

I hope these few images I took inspire someone to go outside and take some photos of their own. There is so much beauty in the world that gets over looked. You just have to stop and look around you.
