Autoback In 3d Max Keeps Showing Up In Root Directory!

Now I work in 3d Studio Max almost everyday at work for architectural visualization. This past week I kept running into 3D Max creating an Autoback file in my root directory. Now I know there is a traditional Autoback that usually goes to some place you specify. Well looking online I would have never thought to look at the Scene converter. Now if you'll see fig.1 there is a little check box in there that says Backup Original Files. Now I never use this scene converter in 3d max and usually turn this off since I have other ways to convert a scene. But I guess for some reason I trusted and went ahead and used this built in scene converter. After I used this I started seeing that Backup showing up in my root directory. I searched all in max trying to find out why it was doing this! Drove me crazy, till I found a post that mentioned this. Yeah, so for those of you out there that decide to use the scene converter look out for this little check box, that is if you don't want Autoback files being constantly saved every time you open a max file.
