Realistic Paint Studio
So I've been wanting to do a full painting in this new program called Realistic Paint Studio. What had drawn me to this program was the layout and the way the brushes reacted when used. Now there are a few things in this program that I feel could be adjusted down the road but as is it's pretty fun to use! In this digital painting it was on the Oil painting setting in the program. I really wanted to see if the oil brushes had that silky feeling you get with oil paints.
Betta Fish
In doing this painting I jumped back and forth between brushes to get an idea of how each one felt and the results it gave. I found that each brush had a different style for what their use was for. Once I got comfortable I had a better work flow and continued with what you see here. The reference image I used was something I had found on Pinterest and used that as the inspiration for the image. If you look on there you will see how these fish are screaming to be painted.
My Saved Out Images
Now one thing that is interesting is how this program saves out the images. You have the choice to save it as if it were in an environment. Some of the scene settings actually add some extra lighting to the painting to make it feel more apart of the environment. And if you look a bit closer it also adds cracks to certain images or a deeper texture to render it. I really like this feature of the program, it does have that realistic feeling to it once you see it placed in a saved scene.
